I spent eighteen hours on a one-kilometre section of track at the edge of rainforest at Eungella National Park.

I was well rewarded with seeing Eungella Honeyeaters coming down from the canopy to hawk for small insects just metres above the ground.

Great views of a brilliant male Regent Bowerbird and watching Topknot Pigeons feeding contributed to a wonderful day spent birding.
